Got my Pownce invite!
Some time ago got my Pownce invite, only a day after I "requested it" online, I’m really surprised how this "invite sharing technique" over Mashable really works, probably having a large community helps a lot. Now I’m already registered and later I’ll check how this one stands against Twitter, I admit it took me a while to understand this micro-blogging thing, Twitter initially seemed a bit stupid and useless, but now I’m starting to see these tools as an interesting way to share small thoughts that don’t qualify as a full blog entry. Now that I’m finally staring to use it, my Twitter account remained unused for some weeks, I’m to figure out how it stands against Twitter (the lack of an API is an rather obvious drawback) and how, or if, I’ll maintain the two of them.
PS - Later, as a decent person I think I am, I’ll be distributing my invites to other Mashable users
